Munich world championship stadium Allianz Arena with is-participation completed

Munich. Munich has a new soccer stadium, the future world championship stadium "Allianz Arena". In mid-may the building, located in Munich-Fröttmaning was delivered to its proprietor, the München Stadion GmbH, by the building company Alpine Bau GmbH after almost 18 months construction time. The landlords and initiators of the large project, which reaches back to the year 1997, are the two Munich soccer associations TSV 1860 and FC Bayern München. The building provides a total floor space of 171,000 square meters and offers seats for more than 66,000 persons. In the beginning of 2002 the decision was taken in favor of the project, which was realized by the Swiss architects Herzog and de Meuron. The is Industrial Services GmbH, Austria, which with its broad experiences already assisted the alteration of the Salzburg European Championship stadium, was responsible for the controlling and the awarding of the contracts for the complete building engineering with a volume of approximately 60 Mio. Euro. It was involved in the following fields: heating, air-conditioning, ventilation, sanitary, sprinkler, measurement and control engineering, power engineering, lighting systems, floodlight, soundings, telecommunications, broadcast, access and video systems and the operation of the parking areas. Shortly after the completion of the structural works in May 2004 the high standard of the stadium was honored: the building received the German Fire Protection Award 2003. The overall costs of the building amounted to 285 Mio. Euro.
