Since 1999, Karl Mösel has held the positions of CEO of is Industrie Software GmbH in Nuremberg, part of is Industrial Services AG, and Director of the Competence Center for Software Engineering, which has around 60 employees.

Born in 1947, Karl Mösel studied communications engineering at the then Ohm Polytechnic in Nuremberg from 1967 to 1971. From 1972 onwards, he studied electrical engineering and computer science at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. From 1979, he worked as an engineer for Siemens AG, became Head of the Computer Tomography Group in 1983, and finally became Senior Project Manager for design and development in production. In 1991, he assumed responsibility for all the company’s CT software systems. From 1997 until he joined the is Software Management Team, Mösel was, as Director of Development, responsible for Siemens AG Production Center for electromechanical components. Karl Mösel is married and has two grownup sons.
